The Latest Bollywood Gossip of the year 2012 is about the Bollywood Hindi Movie Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, which is doing great business at the Box-Office by collecting about 21.25 Crore at the opening Week End.
Taran Adarsh a Trade Analyst said “ Picked up after a slow start on Friday and showed ample growth on Saturday and Sunday. Is extra-ordinary at urban centres, while circuits dominated by single screens remained lackluster. Has performed the best at plexes of Mumbai, Delhi, Punjab, Kolkata and Mysore, which have contributed to a big chunk of the business, but in circuits like C.P., C.I. and Rajasthan, the growth in business remained minimal.”
Taran Adarsh tweeted saying “ Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu collected approx Rs 21.25 cr nett in its opening weekend. Breakup:- Fri 5.25 cr, Sat 7.5 cr, Sun [early est] 8.5 cr.”
Another Trade Analyst Komal Nahta said “ Compared to the start, the pick up on Saturday and Sunday is quite good. The target audience of the film (the multiplex frequenting audience) seems to have taken to the film, although from a day later. This takes the first weekend total of the Imran Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer to Rs. 21 crore (approx. all-India net)”
Karan Johar, the producer of the film tweets saying “Its been a gruelling time at DHARMA…2 back to back releases have definitely taken its toll on everyone!!! But 2day it all seems worth it!! Am thrilled with the box office performance and the glowing reviews of #EMAET!!! @shakunbatra is the man of the moment!!!”
