Deepika Padukone, was born on the 5th of January, 1986 in Copenhagen. Deepika Padukone is the daughter of former badminton champion Prakash Padukone.  Deepika Padukone’s mother is a travel agent & he’s a more youthful. Deepika Padukone has a younger sister named Anisha. Deepika Padukone completed her schooling from Sophia’s High School, Bangalore. Deepika modeling for print & tv promotion campaigns from her school days. Deepika completed her Pre University Course(P.U.C.)  studies from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore.

She has to her credit brands like for Liril soap, Dabur, Close-Up toothpaste & Limca. After receiving lots of prestigious modeling offers, including the brand ambassadorship of the Jewels of India, an annual jewellery exhibition, he hit the international scene when Maybelline made her their new international cover girl face.

She took a break from modeling by starring in the music video for Naam Hai Tera-Tera, a song from the pop album Aap Ka Suroor, an independent album by Himesh Reshammiya.

Later Deepika Padukone made her cinematic debut from a Kannada film, named Aishwarya, starring kannada super-star Upendra. The film was  directed by Indrajit Lankesh. The film had a great opening and had a grand success at the box-office, and Deepika has received rave reviews for her screen presence. Deepika made her Bollywood debut in Farah Khan’s second directorial venture, Om Shanti Om, opposite Shahrukh Khan . In the film, she’s been depicted as a 70s superstar Shantipriya and later as Sandy. Om Shanti Om was released on November 9, 2007. The film had a great opening and was the highest grossing film of the year 2007. Inspite of Shahrukh Khan in the film Deepika was noticed and appreciated by the industry and the audience.

The film go on floors next year and is touted to be an out-and-out female-oriented subject.Ash, who has back to back releases this year, has finally decided to do Benegal’s film stating that it is a very special project. In the past, Aishwarya was offered Benegal’s film Chamki Chameli, an adaptation of Georges Bizet’s classic French opera Carmen, but there was no further word on the project.The latest Benegal film apparently, takes Aishwarya into a different time zone; however it is not a period film. The official announcement of the film is still to be done.

Kangna Ranaut, born 20 March 1987 is an Indian Bollywood actress who acts in Bollywood films. He made her Bollywood debut in 2006 with the film named Gangster. She won both a Filmfare and a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as a disturbed model in Fashion (2008).

Kangana was born to Asha, a school teacher and Amardeep, a businessman in Himachal Pradesh. She has an elder sister, Rangoli and a younger brother Akshit. He was born in a tiny town called Bhambla in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. Her relatives live in Mandi.

She did her schooling in Chandigarh, Punjab from DAV model school Sector 15. Kangana then moved to Delhi to become a model. She also joined the Elite Modelling Agency situated in Delhi in 2003 with the prospect of becoming a model.

Kangana started her career as a theater actor in Delhi with the Asmita Theater Group. She was trained under eminent theater director Arvind Gaur. Kangana participated in all the theater workshop at India Habitat Centre and acted in several plays. Her first play with Arvind Gaur was Girish Karnad’s Taledanda (Rakt-Kalyan).

Kangana joined Asha Chandra’s three-month work in 2004 to brush herself to face camera. Then she moved to Mumbai to try her luck in movies. In the month of September 2005, Hindi film-maker Anurag Basu spotted her having coffee in a café shop in Bombay, and offered her the leading role in Gangster, written by Mahesh Bhatt, and which was accepted by Kangana and the film was released in 2006, the film became both critically and commercially successful and her performance was applauded. This was followed by another acclaimed performance in Woh Lamhe (2006).

Later, Kangna starred in yet another Anurag Basu project, the hit film Life In A… Metro, as a confused girl who is looking for true love. Her performance in the film earned her rave reviews. She also starred in Shakalaka Boom Boom (2007) as an aspiring singer. Her next film, Fashion, starring Priyanka Chopra and Mugdha Godse, was released in 2008. The film, portraying the dark side of the fashion world, was a critical success, and Ranaut’s portrayal of a supermodel who loses everything on drug abuse gained her widespread praise, fetching her various awards, including the prestigious Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award and National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Her last successful film was a thriller Raaz – The Mystery Continues with Emraan Hashmi. The film has been a commercial success and was declared as first reasonable hit of 2009.Her next release was Vaada Raha with Bobby Deol. Ek Niranjan was her second project in the South. Ek Niranjan is a Telugu Film directed by Puri Jagannadh, whose earlier film Pokiri has been remade in Hindi as Wanted. Kangna was also seen briefly in a cameo opposite Hrithik Roshan in Kites as a rich casino owner’s daughter.

Deepika Padukone to honor Yash Chopra

Deepika Padukone set to honor, the filmmaker Yash Chopra at an event in Delhi on October 25 at the request of the Swiss government. This will be the first time, that the actress Deepika Padukone will be meeting the senior film-maker Yash Chopra, though she has acted under Yash Raj Banner.

A source says that “Deepika feels this would be a great chance to meet Yash Chopra. She plans to take a break from the promotion schedule for Break Ke Baad and travel to Delhi for the event.”

A source also added the “ When the Swiss officials called to ask her to honour Chopra Sir, she immediately confirmed her presence. She has grown up watching his films, and is a huge admirer of his work. It is an honour to present Yashji an award.”

Deepika also adds “ I feel he is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time, and I have immense respect for him and his work.”
